- White Sands Construction was selected by the City of Carlsbad to renovate an existing facility for the Avalon Ranch Project. The facility will be creating a residential treatment facility for women with children.
- The center would offer 10 beds to mothers who suffer from drug addiction, but also care for their young children. The children, aged 8 or younger, would stay with their mother at the facility. The concept would allow women to be rehabilitated from drug abuse, without separating them from their children. Gardening or equestrian activities could be offered to help rehabilitation
- Work consists of remodel of an existing building to consist of demolition, framing, drywall, doors, hardware, finishes, plumbing, ductwork, electrical, fire sprinkler system and fire alarm.
